Happy Holidays, everyone!
Several times The Nickel Slots have done special hometown holiday shows in December, learning a few Christmas songs to play for the occasion. These shows ended up being some of our favorite, and we enjoyed sharing our take on classic Christmas songs with our fans, so we decided to record some of these songs. Introducing Christmas With The Nickel Slots!

Recording this four-song EP was a way for us to share this music with fans outside of Sacramento who haven’t been able to come to our holiday shows. We chose three songs to record that spanned musical genres, from a traditional carol to classic pop to country. They all spoke to us in different ways. And we’re excited to debut our original song “A Shot and a Beer for Christmas,” a hard-luck tale from a guy who just needs a little liquid relief during the holiday season. We recorded them all at the Pus Cavern this summer (behind-the-scenes video here).
