Relive our night opening for Bob Seger

Back on March 9th of 2015, The Nickel Slots had an opportunity to open for the legendary Bob Seger. He had rescheduled the Sacramento stop on his 2015 “Ride Out” tour and needed a local opener. Bob’s management approached Andy Hawk at 98 Rock and asked for a recommendation for a local act. Andy recommended The Nickel Slots and Bob loved our music video for “The Devil’s Chain Gang.” The next thing we knew we were on the stage at Sleep Train Arena in front of an estimated 17,000 people doing our thing! A video of our performance was captured live that night and we are making our eight-song opening set available for viewing on our YouTube channel. We will release one song a week for the next eight weeks, starting with our opening song “On the Wall.” Come back here every week to see a new video!

Here’s some more cool stuff from that night. First, a great set of behind-the-scenes photos from backstage, our sound check, and the show itself by our friend Jason Knight. And a feature story on us produced by David Manoucheri at KCRA 3 TV shortly after the show. Enjoy!
